Astoria, Queens — “The World’s Best Cookies” are in your backyard—at least, that’s what one national media outlet calls the cookies that come out of this Queens bakery.
Food Envy, which says its project is to supply the audience with “all food content from around the world,” highlighted the flavor-filled cookies of Astoria’s NYC Chip in a video recently posted on its Facebook page that has since garnered approximately 2. 7 million views.
“These are the most liked cookies in New York City,” the video says of the culinary creations at the Queens Cookie Shop. “They are praised like the cookies in the world. “
While cookies already look chewy and delicious from the outside, genuine wonder comes when one is broken down to reveal a sticky core, the video said. Flavors vary by day and season, but s’mores, chocolate for peanut chocolate, nutella-sea salt, and original chocolate chips are some of the top popular flavors in the store right now.
“Each cookie is loaded with flavor and is perfectly comfortable and chewy,” the video said at the Astoria Cookie Shop compliment.
The original Chip NYC opened on 30-06 34th St. in what, as a hobby of baking and sharing them with friends, Chip’s Home Homeowners owners said on their website. The homeowners sought to recreate “the undeniable taste of our favorite childhood sweets. “
“Each of our cookie creations is baked with the richest ingredients and with the utmost care and love,” the owners wrote.
Customers can be noticed expecting lines wrapping around the block for an Astoria store cookie, as shown in images posted on the New York Instagram page.
The cookie store has since expanded into Manhattan, where it runs an in-house Gansevoort Market Intervention booth.
“They look like cookies,” the video said.
Chip NYC owners cannot be reached for comment.
