US President-elect Donald Trump on Friday said that he had a productive conversation with Chinese premier Xi Jinping, covering a range of critical issues, including trade, fentanyl, and the social media platform TikTok.
Taking to his social media platform, Trump described the call as very constructive, expressing hope for positive results. “The very smart call for China and the United States. Earlier, Chinese state media outlet Xinhua confirmed that the two leaders had spoken by phone but did not divulge specific details of their discussion.
This exchange follows Trump’s past comments on January 6, where he pointed out communication without stopping with XI representatives and expressed his optimism about strengthening his bilateral relationship.
