Trump revokes John Bolton’s Secret Service amid Iranian death threats (former national security adviser)

Bolton has faced threats from Iran for years, an alleged plot to assassinate him in 2021, and the Justice Department later charged a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps over the plot in 2022. Trump had removed Bolton from his first term. in 2019, and Biden had granted him a security detail in 2021.  

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House about Bolton’s claim but did not receive a response.

Iranian threats against Bolton were likely triggered through the January 2020 U. S. strike that killed Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s Quds Force, the Justice Department reported in 2022.  

Bolton served as Trump’s national security advisor between 2018 and 2019, before Trump ousted him because they “disagreed strongly” on policy issues. 

BIDEN says Trump has “no redeeming value” and claims he is burdening him like an Iranian assassination threat.

“Last night I informed John Bolton that his were no longer needed in the White House,” Trump tweeted in 2019. “I don’t agree with many of his suggestions, as do others in the administration, and that’s why I asked John to resign. , which was given to me this morning. I thank John very much for his service. I will appoint a new National Security Advisor next week.

Over the next few years, Trump criticized Bolton, adding that he had started “World War Six” and calling him “one of the dumbest people in the government” in 2023.

Bolton also criticized Trump, saying in a 2020 interview that Trump had “the skills to do the job. ”
