Ukraine has reportedly introduced a new offensive operation by Russian forces, amid the ongoing war between the two nations.
On Friday, the Kyiv Post reported that Ukraine’s Third Assault Brigade shared an article on Telegram detailing how it successfully executed several attacks on Russian forces in Kharkiv Oblast.
“The main task of the operation is to destroy the offensive prospect of the 20th Army of the Russian Federation. For now, this task has been accomplished,” Col. Andriy Biletskyi, commander of the Third Separate Assault Brigade, said in a statement.
According to the Telegram message, Russia lost three hundred soldiers, “and a significant number of aircraft and weapons were destroyed or damaged” during the brigade’s offensive operation in Kharkiv.
“The uniqueness of the operation is that we attacked a formidable enemy and emerged victorious,” Biletskyi said, attributing the good luck to planning, artillery, air defense and intelligence.
Biletskyi added: “But the heroes of the battlefield are the tankers, the sappers, the scouts and, above all, the attack planes. “
The offensive operation in Kharkiv comes after Ukraine launched an attack on Russia’s Kursk border region.
Earlier this month, Ukraine introduced a wonderful offensive operation in Russia’s Kursk oblast, as war continues between the two countries since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Thousands of Russians have been evacuated from Kursk and the surrounding regions. . This readiness comes as armed clashes escalate in southwestern Russia following Ukraine’s unforeseen cross-border incursion.
Ukrainian forces have gained new momentum in recent weeks following the late arrival of U. S. weapons. On Thursday, the commander of the Ukraine Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk, shared a video on social media claiming that glider bombs provided through United States United States had been used through Ukraine their recent offensive operation in Kursk.
Earlier this week, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova warned Ukraine about its offensive operation in Kursk.
Zakharova said the operation had ended “any possibility” of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.
“Who will negotiate with them after this, after the atrocities, the terror they inflict on nonviolent residents, on the civilian population, on civilian infrastructure and on nonviolent facilities?” Zakharova told the Associated Press (AP).
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the main goal of the operation in Kursk was “to destroy as many of Russia’s war prospects as possible,” the Kyiv Independent reported.
