Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, said other Guangdong people will continue to push forward the culture of Viet Nam-China relations.
Party General Secretary and State Chairman To Lam expressed deep emotion, noting that his stopover in China began in Guangzhou, where exactly 100 years ago Uncle Ho arrived after a 13-year adventure in search of a way to save the nation. laid the theoretical foundation and created the Organizational Foundation for the Establishment of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, founded the Revolutionary Youth League of Viet Nam, and trained prominent leaders of the CPV.
Guangzhou is also the place where President Ho Chi Minh participated in Vietnamese revolutionary activities while actively joining the Chinese revolutionary movement and the foreign communist movement, the leader said.
He highlighted the historic collaboration between the revolutionary leaders of Vietnam and China as a shining example of the global proletarian revolutionary movement, laying a solid foundation for the lasting friendship between the two countries.
Party General Secretary and State President To Lam thanked the Chinese Party and State, the Party organization and the Guangdong government for their meticulous preservation of the relics of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League and the tomb of the martyr Pham Hong Thai.
The Party, State and other Vietnamese people appreciate the valuable assistance provided through their Chinese counterparts, both in the past and at present, in the cause of national structure and development, he said.
The Vietnamese leader expressed full confidence that all participants in the assembly have a common aspiration that Vietnam-China relations will remain dynamic and sustainable. He is confident that they will continue to make significant contributions to consolidating a stronger social base, as he stated through the Viet Nam-China Joint Declaration during the stop of the General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Viet Nam in December 2023.
The Chinese delegates shared their memories of President Ho Chi Minh’s stay in China, recounting their reports touring Viet Nam veterans to heal wounds and their efforts to maintain and publicize Vietnamese revolutionary relic sites in China.
They affirmed their commitment to inherit and foster the deep brotherly friendship between Viet Nam and China, uphold non-unusual ideals and accept them as true in the ongoing efforts to build and expand their respective countries.
The assembly was co-sponsored by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Union of Vietnam Friendship Organizations and the Consulate General of Vietnam in Guangzhou.
