More than a hundred barrels of crude oil spilled from a truck after a car accident in Santa Maria

SANTA MARIA, Calif. – First responders are at the scene of a car crash involving a tractor-trailer and a car on Telephone Rd. and E Clark Ave. in Santa Maria.

The truck was carrying 150 barrels of crude oil and there is still a lot of traffic in the area. Authorities proposed select routes to avoid the crash site, the SBCFD said.

Four other people were injured, two with minor to moderate injuries and two with serious injuries, transported by helicopter to Marion and Cottage hospitals respectively, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
