D23 2024 concluded its first day on Friday, August 9 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, with a presentation that showcased Disney’s upcoming movies and TV shows.
The presentation included upcoming film and television projects from Walt Disney Pictures, Marvel Studios, Lucasmovie, Pixar and debuted with Walt Disney Animation.

But first, Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger took the initiative to take on a stadium full of fans. It was Iger’s first D23 in five years and he told the crowd how much he missed them.
“There is nothing we like more than surprising you and filling your center with love. The world wants entertainment more than ever and we take it seriously. We have much to be proud of and much more to look forward to. »

The performance began with Auliʻi Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson performing “Who We’re Meant to Be” from “Moana 2,” surrounded by Hawaiian dancers.
Johnson teased the sequel’s new villains and this about the film:

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and actor Anthony Mackie showed images of “Brave New World,” but they are the same images shown a few weeks ago at San Diego Comic-Con.
The footage included a meeting between President Ross (Harrison Ford) and Sam Wilson (Mackie), where Ross asks Wilson to form a new team of Avengers. Another scene shows that the Celestial that left after the “Eternals” occasions is made of Adamantium, the same steel that made Wolverine’s claws. The footage also shows Giancarlo Esposito’s villain Sidewinder and ends with Ford’s Ross fitting in Red Hulk on the White House lawn in front of the press.
Mackie had this to say about his iconic role:

Oscar-winning director James Cameron has revealed that the official name for “Avatar 3” is “Avatar: Fire and Ash. “He also put actors Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldaña on the same level before showing off concept art for the upcoming film. However, Cameron told the crowd that it was too early to show images.

“It’s a crazy adventure, a dinner for the eyes, but with a lot at stake. There are new characters that you’ll love and love to hate. You’ll see more of Pandora than ever before. The new movie is what you expect and what you want.
