EIS Reviews Virginia Electric’s Supplemental Environmental Report
Dominion is seeking a time or next license term to conduct larger plant operations of 60 to 80 years. Licenses for the North Anna reactors, located 40 miles northwest of Richmond, Virginia, recently expired in April 2038 for Unit 1 and August 2040 for Unit 2. The North Anna site is home to two 944 MWe pressurized water reactors, which announce operation in 1978 and 1980.
