Michael Cohen, Donald Trump’s former lawyer who testified against him in his secret trial, spoke Saturday night after the former president fired shots at a rally.
Cohen shared a photo of the aftermath of the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, as well as a report on X, formerly Twitter.
“Whether you agree or disagree with someone’s political position, THIS IS NOT THE SOLUTION!” posted next to the photo of Trump surrounded by Secret Service agents with blood on their faces.

Cohen, who worked for Trump as a lawyer and at the Trump Organization between 2006 and 2018, was later an outspoken critic of his former boss.
Last week, Cohen asked the United States Supreme Court to hear a case involving Trump, asking whether citizens can simply hold a former president accountable for his actions.
She recently played a leading role in the secret trial in New York involving adult film star Stormy Daniels. Cohen had sent Daniels before the 2016 presidential election after claiming to have had sex with Trump years earlier.
The federal government began investigating Cohen in April 2018. In August 2018, he pleaded guilty to charges of tax evasion, making false statements to a federally insured bank, and cross-financial violations.
In December 2018, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison, fined $50,000, forfeited $500,000, and paid more than $1. 3 million in restitution to the IRS.
In this year’s secret trial, Cohen called the prosecution as a key witness and celebrated Trump’s conviction.
“Today is a vital day for accountability and the rule of law. Although it has been a complicated adventure for me and my family, the fact is still important,” Cohen told Newsweek in May.
After the verdict, Cohen continued his criticism on news networks and podcasts.
Despite the animosity between the two men, Cohen’s reaction to the shooting at Trump’s July 13 rally echoed reactions from across the political spectrum, adding President Joe Biden, who condemned the shooter.
Trump rushed to the hospital after a bullet reportedly grazed his ear and cheek. The incident is being treated as an assassination attempt. The shooter was pronounced dead at the scene, while one rally player was killed and others were injured.
