Heritage Rosebery Engine Yards Gets a Second Life as a Retail and Dining Destination

From a Westinghouse plant in the 1920s to Rebecca Vallance, Oroton, Aje, Gelato Messina, and Zimmerman today, the first level of the redevelopment of Rosebery Engine Yards into a renovated heritage is now complete, and there’s more to come.

Owned, evolved and controlled by Goodman, Rosebery Engine Yards is a mixed-use retail and lifestyle precinct, situated on 1. 9 hectares, one of the largest derelict heritage developments in the region.

The retailers are located in a domain that boasts premium finishes and gardens, plus Gelato Messina ice cream parlor, fashion brands Aje The Outlet, Rebecca Vallance, Oroton and Viktoria

Retailers opening later this year include LUNE Croissantrie (October), Zimmermann (September), M. J. Bale (September), JULIO (September), Camilla

Home goods stores include Tallira from The Rug Collection, Oblica, Saarde, and Inartisan.

Lofft House, a firm and showroom representing one of Australia’s and overseas luxury, wellness and lifestyle brands is also located in Rosebery Engine Yards, as is The Cosmetics Company’s mid-formative store of Reggio Academy, which opens in November 2024.

Rosebery Engine Yards is located opposite another adaptive reuse property, The Cannery, either just minutes from Sydney Airport. The former Rosella soup cannery opened a decade ago and features Three Blue Ducks, Zeus St Greek and Da Mario, Archie Rose Distilling. Co, as well as Messina and a Black Star bakery.
