DVLA issues car tax reminder telling drivers to avoid a £1000 fine “takes five minutes”

The DVLA has warned that motorists could be hit with a hefty £1,000 fine for breaking car tax regulations by signing up to a major reminder service in just five minutes.

DVLA officials brought virtual vehicle tax reminders last year as part of the company’s new virtual vehicle and driver account service.

Not paying road taxes can backfire and penalize motorists.

This will most likely result in a £1,000 fine, which could be a major blow to cash-strapped road users across the country.
