Put your country first: Left-wing world leaders are woefully unprepared for Donald Trump’s imminent return to the White House

President Biden recently said that world leaders fear a Trump presidency.

Like when he tries to shake hands with invisible people, does the president now hear voices?

Or are you listening to criticism from hate-filled left-wing “leaders” who continually let down their own people?

It is not difficult to believe that some of those voices would come from the Australian Labor Party.

Just as it is not difficult to believe that one of those voices is Sadiq Khan.

Certainly, many Republicans and conservatives in the United States see London Mayor Sadiq Khan more as a far-left propagandist than a serious politician.

Recently, although unsurprisingly, Khan has reinforced this view by calling former President Donald Trump (and presumptive Republican nominee) racist, sexist and homophobic, while encouraging the Labour Party to echo his insults.

Khan told the center-left Politico in part, “I’m pretty clear, I get it, about Trump. He is a racist. It’s sexist. It is homophobic. And that’s very important, especially when you have a special relationship, which you deal with. “him as your most productive friend. If my most productive friend was racist, sexist, or homophobic, I would call him. . . “

As Khan struggles to ingratiate himself with enlightened and socialist-leaning figures in London, the United Kingdom and the West, he may have to ask himself what would happen if Trump, who would be re-elected president of the United States by a growing number of Republicans and Democrats, makes the decision to sue him for slander and defamation.

Of course, an explanation for why Khan is going after Trump.

His emotions were hurt in 2016, when Trump first rightly criticized the mayor for his poor reaction to the London Bridge terror attacks.

And then, a stopover in the United Kingdom in 2019, when then-President Trump called Khan a “stone loser” who had failed to deal with London’s crime rates.

During the interview with Politico, Khan responded to Trump’s verbal attack: “I have more leeway as mayor to say how I feel about Trump, and I make that clear. He called me a ‘cold loser. ‘ I won three. How? How much did you earn?

Interesting.

As he has done with many far-left Democrats and journalists in the United States, Trump seems to live for free in Khan’s head.

As touchy and sensitive as Khan is, he must not forget that he is also the mayor of one of the most iconic cities in the world and represents, at some level, his country.

Unfortunately for London and Britain, Khan failed the test.

Speaking to Trump-hating newspaper Politico, Khan decided to step up his boastful rhetoric to protect his fragile ego.   The London mayor said in part: “You know, I’ve talked to American governors. I’ve talked to American mayors. . . But I’ve lost count of the number of Republicans I’ve talked to who are also concerned. a Trump presidency. »

Two questions about this boast.

Having worked for two Republican presidents in the White House and three winning presidential campaigns, I seriously doubt that the “Republicans” would say anything like that to Khan when, as politicians, they know that everything will be revealed faster or later.

These “Republicans” would also be well aware that Trump is getting closer to his re-election and would not need to put themselves in the position of next pre-aspect to appease the wounded emotions of the mayor of London.

Recent polls imply that Khan’s Labor Party could be strong again after fourteen years.

Even if the newly elected Trump and the Republican leadership saw this as negative for Britain as well as relations between the two nations, it is a choice they may soon have to face.

As such, perhaps Khan deserves to give priority to his city and his nation.

If you want an example, look no further than Labour’s shadow foreign secretary, David Lammy.

A guy who once, surprisingly, former President Trump was a “sociopath with neo-Nazi sympathies. “

Wow.

I can’t believe we can overlook such a vile and deadly attack like that, but all the credit goes to Lammy for trying.

Just as he deserves credit for firmly rejecting Khan’s call to label former President Trump as a “racist. “

As reported, on a recent stopover in the United States, Lammy allegedly met with Chris LaCivita, a senior adviser to former President Trump.

An assembly that constitutes the first official contact between Labor and the former president’s team in the period leading up to the 2024 US elections.

A setup that Mr. Lammy was very sensible to carry out.

An assembly in which the Australian Labor Party is inspired by the elegance of its country.

During a speech at the Institute of Government, Lammy partly rightly said: “Whoever is in the White House, or in Number 10, in a big election year, we have to work together. . . The special relationship between the Kingdom United States and our countries is not only for our own national security, but also for the security of much of the world. . . »

After recklessly betting on the left by insulting Trump, Lammy obviously discovered his textbook “Foreign Policy 101” and reread it.

It’s an e-book about Lammy’s percentage with Khan, Prime Minister Albanese and other center-left leaders before it’s too late.

Douglas MacKinnon is a former White House and Pentagon official and author of the book, “The 56 – Lessons of Freedom from Those Who Risked Everything to Sign the Declaration of Independence. “
