Elon Musk says he supports Donald Trump after the shooting

Elon Musk reacted on the social network X to the incident that occurred on Saturday at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania. Shots appeared to ring out shortly after Trump began speaking, and the presidential candidate had blood on his face as he was carried off the level by Secret Service agents.

“I completely agree with President Trump and hope for his speedy recovery,” Musk wrote. The CEO of Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) and SpaceX (SPACE) also said that the last time the United States had a candidate as difficult as Trump was Theodore Roosevelt. Elon Musk has said in the past that he voted for Joe Biden in 2020.

Earlier this month, Musk appears to have replaced his previous stance that he would not donate to either the Republican or the Democratic nominee when he handed over a gigantic sum of cash to the America PAC, a tough political action committee in Austin, Texas.

In a statement, Trump said he was “fine” and was being examined at a local medical center, The Associated Press reported.

Update: Musk, the only known leader to intervene in Trump’s shooting. GameStop (GME) CEO Ryan Cohen posted “Trump 2024” on social media site X in what can be considered simply an endorsement.
