Trump also interviewed at the point of sale through Fox News’ Alexis McAdams and discussed the timing of his running mate’s announcement.
“I’ll announce it at the time of the convention,” Trump reiterated to Fox News, pointing to the Republican National Convention, which begins Monday, July 15 in Milwaukee.
Trump answered questions from reporters as he stopped by Tony and Nick’s Steaks, a well-known cheesesteak spot in South Philadelphia.

The former president then led a rally near Temple University. Philadelphia is the largest city in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state.

As Trump travels to New Orleans on Monday night for a fundraising crusade with House Majority Leader Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana as a special guest, the president is expected to remain at Camp David to prepare for Thursday’s debate.
