Israeli Infantrymen Wounded: U. S. Concerns Grow About Possible War with Hezbollah

Yesterday, Hezbollah attacked three Israelis in the Galilee and in the occupied Shab’a farms, bombed the Israeli Northern Command air defense base in the Beria barracks with Katyusha rockets, attacked the Naqoura navy with drones, and bombed Ruwaysat al-QarnArray in the occupied Shab’a farms with missiles.

The IDF said six of its infantrymen were wounded on the border with Lebanon and noted that it had monitored 35 liberation operations from Lebanon and intercepted most of them reporting that they had been wounded.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that electricity had been cut off in the northern city of Safed as a result of rockets fired at the city.  

In addition, Israel’s Channel 24 published footage showing fires in several locations near Safed after Hezbollah introduced missiles and drones from southern Lebanon.

In this regard, the U. S. Navy announced that the USS Wasp and Special Operations Expeditionary Unit 24 had passed through the Strait of Gibraltar and reached the Mediterranean Sea. This shipment will be made along the USS Oak Hill U. S. landing shipment, recently in the region.

NBC reported that the U. S. Department of Defense is moving military assets near Israel and Lebanon to prepare for the eventual evacuation of Americans if fighting breaks out. Washington is reportedly discussing coordinating evacuation operations and any coalition army action with its close allies.

U. S. officials have revealed that Washington is in a position to conduct emergency evacuation operations in the event of war.  

Jordan has asked its citizens to avoid traveling to Lebanon for the time being “in light of the progress being made in the region,” according to a statement from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.

Since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza on October 7, the Lebanese Hezbollah movement has been directly involved, albeit in a limited way, in the war against the Israeli occupation.

According to Hezbollah sources, they carried out 1,194 military operations in the first 250 days of the war, killing and wounding more than 2,000 Israeli soldiers.

Israel has occupied parts of Lebanon for decades and left the country in 2000 following strong Lebanese resistance under the leadership of Hezbollah.  

A full-scale war against Hezbollah will backfire on Israel and the Arab consumer regimes of the United States.

It attempted to reoccupy Lebanon in 2006, but failed in what Lebanon considers a primary victory against Israel.  

Israel, however, continues to occupy parts of Lebanon, adding the Sheeba Farms area.

Hezbollah has pledged to recapture every inch of Israeli-occupied Lebanon, in contravention of foreign law.
