Those who tried to donate through Trump’s crusade online page after his conviction were redirected to WinRed, the payment processing platform used through Trump and other conservative crusades. And while the homepage worked, donating to Trump’s crusade temporarily gave donors an error message.
“So many Americans were pressured to donate to President Trump’s crusade that WinRed’s pages were shut down,” Trump’s crusade said in an article in X. “We’re racing to get the pages back online as temporarily as possible. “
Trump campaign adviser Chris LaCivita encouraged donors who saw the error message to subscribe to the former president’s text message list while the issue is resolved.
WinRed’s Trump appears to return later Thursday night.
The website displays Trump’s photo from the day he came to his criminal case in Georgia, along with the words “never give up. “The former president also describes himself as a “political prisoner” and calls for the “immediate repression” of his supporters to be “so that it goes down in history!”
“Before the day is over, I call on TEN MILLION pro-Trump patriots to step up and say, I SUPPORT PRESIDENT TRUMP!” he says, noting that the end-of-month fundraising deadline is just a few days away.
But the Republican nominee wasn’t the only one trying to collect donations the day after the verdict.
