In two stages of expansion, Gerresheimer is expanding the production area at its facility in Peachtree City, Georgia, USA. The U. S. is approximately 18,000 m² (194,000 sq ft). The company is investing in total around €166 million ($180 million) in the structure and equipment of the two new buildings. Gerresheimer will create more than 400 new jobs in Peachtree City as part of this expansion. Currently, the company employs about 270 more people at the site.

In the first phase of expansion, a new structure component of approximately 7,700 m² (83,000 sq ft) was built directly next to the existing factory. Approximately 5,000 m² (53,800 sq ft) are completed for ISO 14644-1 Class Nine cleanroom production areas. Once the paintings of the structure are finished, the installation of the specialized production generation will begin in the second part of 2024. At the end of 2024, production ramp-up in the new part of the structure will begin. The new structure also includes a new automated high-bay warehouse. Following the finishing touch of the first phase of expansion, the Peachtree City site will have a total of approximately 12,000 m² (130,000 square feet) of Class 8 production space and nine cleanrooms.
As part of the current level of expansion of Gerresheimer’s production functions in Peachtree City, a new 110,000-square-foot (10,200 m²) facility is being built near Atlanta Regional Airport, approximately 1. 6 miles (2. 6 km) from first production. The facility will feature an additional 77,500 square feet (7,200 m²) of production space in a Class Nine clean room, as well as automated high-bay warehouse systems. After the preparatory paints on the road and the original infrastructure, the structure of the new factory structure will soon start here. In the course of 2025, the installation of the production and assembly lines will follow, and production is also expected to start here towards the end of 2025. The factory site on which the new structure being built is located also provides enough area for long-term expansions.
Through the expansion of its capabilities, Gerresheimer is creating more than 400 new jobs for professional staff in Peachtree City. Once the expansion is complete, Gerresheimer will be one of the largest employers in the city, about 25 miles (40 km) southwest of Atlanta. , the capital of the state of Georgia, with about 700 employees.
At the Peachtree plant, Gerresheimer produces medical devices such as inhalers, infusion set parts, micro-injectors, control cards for microbiological controls, and auto-injectors, which can be used, among other things, to cure diabetes and obesity.
