New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) The Delhi government on Thursday imposed a ban on the use of drinking water at sites of structures, car washes and repair centers; Those institutions will be sealed if they violate the ban.
Speaking to the media, Delhi Cabinet Minister Atishi said: “We are training two hundred enforcement groups of the Delhi Jal Board who will check that no well is broken or plugged.
The use of potable water in structures is prohibited and if a structure does so, it will be sealed through MCD.
“The Delhi government is taking an extra emergency measure to save water in the city of cars in the nation’s capital. There are many car wash and repair centers that use clean water. . . We are banning the use of drinking water. water through Delhi Jal Board in car wash and repair centers,” Atishi said.
“Starting tomorrow, the DPCC will conduct inspections at car wash and repair centers,” he added.
He further called on people not to abuse water, stressing that “Delhi is facing an emergency situation due to the heatwave and the fact that Haryana does not release water. “
