BUSTI – Busti Church of God has partnered with the Rural Mobile Medical Unit Health and Wellness Initiative for an informal event from a. m. to 6 p. m. on Friday.
The kitchen staff at Busti Church of God will provide lunch plates for sale throughout the day. Participants will be able to register to receive prizes on that day.
Erie Retina Research will conduct loose retinal exams at the fitness event, while WNY Urology will also perform PSA blood tests for prostate cancer screening in men over the age of 50. More than 40 service providers will be available to others and provide percentage information. .
The Veterans Administration will have its cell unit on-site. Veterans agencies from Erie, Buffalo and Chautauqua County will be on-site that day. The Chautauqua Center will also have its cell unit on-site during this event!
Assistance and data will be shared on topics such as intellectual health, number one care, SNAP, WIC, emergency assistance, at-home tests through NYSERDA, Elder Law, Medicare, insurance, scams, child and adult care coordination, various cancers (Roswell), vaping and smoking problems, Cornell Cooperative Extension, for abused or trafficked children, elder employment and foster grandparents, employment and education programs, qualified services for the elderly, dementia care, and child care.
UPMC Chautauqua, Highmark Health and AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital supply bags with familiar items such as laundry soap, paper and hand soap on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Many citizens in our network are facing monetary hardships that make it difficult to meet their critical fitness needs, especially with the emerging cost of living,” said Rodney Buchanan, administrator at AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital. “AHN Westfield Memorial Hospital and Highmark Health are committed to giving back to our network by supporting rural fitness clinics and offering laundry soap in bulk to those in need.
The Rural Mobile Medical Units Health and Wellness Initiative provides facilities and assistance to those living in rural spaces from Chautauqua County cellular medical equipment and service providers at one-day events.
