We don’t know which edition of Deadspin it belongs to, but the sport has announced its official return to business since its sale to Lineup Publishing.
Shortly after 1:00 p. m. on Monday at 1 p. m. ET, the Deadspin X account posted a GIF of WWE’s The Undertaker emerging from a coffin. A little over an hour later, they posted “Deadspin is back, and so is our comments section. “Around 4:00 p. m. ET, they posted a symbol of the Deadspin logo on Michael Jordan with the quote “I’m back” and a caption that simply said “Deadspin is back. “And then at 5:30 p. m. at 1:30 p. m. horas. ET, they posted a symbol of the Deadspin logo on Marvel’s Thanos with the caption, “Deadspin is back. Deadspin is inevitable. Fasten your seat belts.

The site’s announced return was met with less fanfare than mockery. It’s probably because 2024 Deadspin is a far cry from the original editorial vision and philosophy.
In fact, this edition of Deadspin replaces an earlier edition of Deadspin that few readers of the site enjoyed or appreciated.
There’s also what we know about the new owners, Lineup Publishing, whose main investors, Timothy Booker and Max Noremo, come from the world of casinos and online gaming. The assumption is that it is now here to drive traffic to online gaming apps. , so as not to be the sports blog par excellence on the Internet.
As for the most recent edition of Deadspin, it has been reformatted, the content doesn’t seem to be much different so far. Content provider Field Level Media was already guilty of almost every new post on the site before G/O Media sold it and also happens to be the top content provider now. Most of the bylines on the new articles say “Field Level Media,” though others include Deadspin. com, Nick Pedone, and Adam Zielonka (who also works for Field Level Media). .
The only major difference noticeable so far is that the site offers a collection of referral links similar to those of online casinos. A giant ad for a “social casino” or app greets you at the top half of the homepage and there are several referral links similar to scattered games. along.
What’s disappearing is more noticeable than Deadspin’s latest comeback. Several former Deadspin editors and writers took to social media to discover that several old articles had disappeared from the site’s archives. Some of those articles were among the most notable the news outlet wrote in its heyday. .

Other former writers have also noted that although their articles are still online, the byline has been changed.
Awful Anusing reached out to Lineup Publishing about the missing articles and the company said there is a “technical bug” being fixed lately.
“This is a technical error in migrating all the pieces to a new database,” Chief Operating Officer Timothy Booker said in an email. “We’re looking to locate and repair everything that didn’t transfer when it was switched to the new platform. We will not remove any parts. All parts will be repaired. Over the next week, we also plan to repair comments on older items.
“We believe the story of Deadspin deserves to stay in place and that won’t change. “
This new release from Deadspin has an incredibly complicated road ahead of it if it is to win back fans of the original, if that’s even possible. For many of them, it’s just an online page with a Deadspin-shaped casing. Articles from the site’s heyday would likely have sounded the death knell for any explanation as to why most of them entered the site. Not to mention, we’re talking about some of the most iconic sports content of the blogosphere era.
In addition to writing for Awful Anusing and The Comeback, Sean is the director of editorial strategy at Comeback Media. Previously, he created the Syracuse blog Troy Nunes is an absolute wizard and wrote “How to Grow an Orange: The Right Way to Brainwash Your Child to Root for Syracuse. “He has also written similar articles outside of Syracuse for SB Nation, Curbed, and media outlets. Lately, he’s been living in Seattle, where he’s complaining about bagels. Send tips/comments/complaints to sean@thecomeback. com.
Yes, it’s The Rock.
“I’m everybody’s opinion. “
There’s a lot of inequity in the new NFL schedule and one of the roots of the challenge is the expansion of time, leading to unbalanced rest.
Towns doesn’t have a career triple-double in the playoffs, contrary to what Cowherd said Tuesday.
Indiana fever attracted less this weekend.
