A. J. Brown: I’m learning to let other people explain their opinion without responding.

Eagles wide receiver A. J. La Brown’s press conference on Tuesday focused on extending his contract, but there were other topics that increased his time on the podium.

One of them was a phone call Brown made to Philadelphia radio station WIP in February to refute the hypothesis that there were disorders in the team’s locker room that led to its collapse in the second half of last season and that Brown had express disagreements with quarterback Jalen Hurts. He called the Hurts’ hypothesis “total nonsense” and insisted he wanted to be a part of the team.

The new contract means Brown will be around for the next few years and said Tuesday that he’s running to do a greater job of letting outside noise pass unanswered.

“At the time, I felt like it was the right thing to do,” Brown said. “But hunting backwards is all I’ve learned. I’m learning to let other people have their say and keep pushing. I’m human. It’s anything I can’tArrayI can’t when someone talks about me or proposes things like that. It’s anything I’ve learned and I’m moving forward.

The immediate relegation from the top of the NFC to the exit of the playoffs provided plenty of talking points for the Eagles at the end of last season. Avoiding that kind of sinking will help Brown and everyone else on the roster have the kind of interactions that Brown engaged in the previous year.
