A car crashed into Gate C of Fenway Park on Lansdowne Street Monday morning and hit a forklift driver, according to Frank O’Laughlin of Boston 25 News.
Massachusetts State Police said the suspect, 48-year-old Colleen Marie Gibbs, first crashed into two cars in the Ted Williams Tunnel and then crashed into the USGC base on Hanover Street. None of the passengers in the cars crashed in the Ted Williams Tunnel were injured.
Gibbs reportedly fled a police checkpoint in Revere, according to NBC Boston’s Asher Klein.
A tow truck had to remove Gibbs’ 2024 Honda Accord from the door where it crashed at Fenway Park. The forklift driver was on hand to remove the scene from an event that took place this weekend at the historic ballpark.
The driver of the car was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Klein. No other injuries were reported at the scene.
“The driver of the vehicle was arrested via Boston police who were at the scene of the load,” a Boston Red Sox spokesperson said in a statement.
State police and municipal police are investigating the incidents.
The Red Sox are recently on the road, opening a two-game series against the Atlanta Braves on Tuesday. The team will return to Boston for a seven-game home game against the Washington Nationals and Tampa Bay Rays starting Friday.
