This is the moment when Russian missiles hit the Ukrainian “Harry Potter Castle” in Odessa.
The footage, received from Ukrainian Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin, shows Odessa’s waterfront lined with explosions as Russian missiles hit the area.
One of the missiles hit an institution, the Odessa Law Academy, known in Odessa as “Harry Potter Castle” on Monday, April 29.
At the time of writing, the latest updates from Ukraine indicated that the death toll stood at five more people killed and 32 wounded, in addition to two children and a pregnant woman.
Footage from the moment shows firefighters rushing to the scene as the roof of the iconic building burns.
Kostin said in a statement received via Newsflash shortly before noon today, Tuesday, April 30 (in Ukrainian): “Russia cynically ignores all the norms of foreign humanitarian law. Last night, the enemy sneakily attacked Odessa.
“Five other people were killed and more than 30 injured. Among the injured were two young men and a pregnant woman. Five of the injured are in incredibly serious condition.
“The attack was carried out using an Iskander ballistic missile with a fragmentation warhead. It is an indiscriminate weapon whose use can cause significant casualties among the civilian population.
“Within a radius of 1. 5 kilometers around the site of the bombing, steel fragments and rocket debris were recovered.
“The investigation suggests that the decision to use such a weapon was intentionally made by officials of the Soviet Union with the goal of killing as many nonviolent Ukrainians as possible.
“The investigation is ongoing. We will track down and punish those who give the order to the offender to bomb non-violent Ukrainian cities. “
