FERN Britton is making a “big return to television” as part of her “ultimate revenge against Phillip Schofield. “
The 66-year-old former This Morning host returned to the spotlight last month to watch Celebrity Big Brother.
Fern proved to be a hit with viewership on the ITV reboot and made it to the final.
The mother of three had not appeared on television for several years prior to her stopover in the television house.
But now it looks like Fern will once again be a fixture on screens.
Bella Magazine reports that she plans her triumphant return for the “ultimate revenge against Phillip Schofield. “
A source told the magazine: “Fern is gearing up for her big return to television. It is desperate to create its own communication screen and is already in communication with television networks.
“The CBB did him a lot of good, they forgot how nice he is, but the exhibition gave him a new life.
“It’s no secret that she’s been abused before and that has deterred her from doing television again, but now she feels fit to get back on screens. “
In the past, Fern hosted This Morning alongside Schofe for 10 years until she was replaced by Holly Willoughthrough in 2009.
The source added: “She’s warm, concerned and funny – everything TV makers look for in a presenter.
“Now Phillip is out of the picture, she can get revenge and succeed on TV again!”
Fern had fallen out with Phillip, 62, when he left the daytime show.
Speaking about their decade-long feud within the CBB house, Fern said, “Apparently, I signed up to spit it out!Well, for now, I can tell you that I think you should act with caution and kindness.
“It’s fair to say that towards the end we didn’t get along. Things were complicated. “
Veteran presenter Phillip ended his association with ITV last year after admitting to a “reckless but illegal” affair with a younger colleague.
