RRH to Open Women-Focused Health and Wellness Center in Pittsford
Rochester Regional Health Opens Women’s Health
The center is the first destination gym of its kind in the Finger Lakes region and Western New York. An opening rite was held on Thursday.
“The new Women’s Health and Wellness Center creates an area where women feel heard, respected, and empowered to make informed decisions about their fitness,” said Elizabeth Bostock, MD, executive medical director of Women’s Health. “We know that women have exclusive rights Physical care needs: They may have other symptoms and respond to treatment. The center recognizes those differences and ensures women get the preventive care, early detection, and personalized wellness systems they need.
The 8,000-square-foot facility at Pittsford Plaza has been completely renovated into an area that houses more than a dozen providers providing a variety of specialized facilities and customized systems for women’s physical, intellectual and emotional health.
The center will offer several services, adding behavioral health, cardiology, gynecology, internal medicine and ultrasound. Future offerings include bone health, dermatology, menopausal medicine, and postnatal therapy.
The Women’s Health and Wellness Center also has an on-site navigator, which can connect women with more specialists off-site if needed, making sure they’ve shown their follow-up appointments before they even leave the building.
“The Women’s Health and Wellness Center is the latest testament to Rochester Regional Health’s commitment to making physical care convenient and available, offering care to serve our patients wherever they are,” said Richard “Chip” Davis, CEO of Rochester Regional Health.
