USA Today recently released a ranking of all Major League Baseball stadiums. But where did Great American Ball Park fall?

Despite its moniker, Great American was not placed high on the list, coming in at No. 26 out of 30 parks, right above Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, and below Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, number one overall.

The Great American Ball Park opened in 2003 and has a capacity of 42,271 people. According to the report, Cincinnati Red Stadium is “a gateway to the retro stadium revolution. “The stadium, according to the report, offers beautiful views of the Ohio River from the top floor and features an opening called The Notch, which allows enthusiasts to peek inside the stadium as they make their way into the park from downtown.

Despite its low ranking, USA Today doesn’t list any disadvantages of Great American Ball Park compared to other spaces ranked at the top of the list.

For their ranking, 8 USA Today reporters and editors ranked all existing MLB stadiums from 1 to 30, adding the overall scores in order. The national news site also turned to Joe Mock, a BaseballParks. com operator since 1997.

Per the report, Mock has attended games at all 30 MLB parks, 23 spring training parks, and 119 Minor League parks. He’s also posted nearly 100 park reviews since 1997. His ballpark expertise has earned him appearances on the Travel Channel and History Channel.
