Xi Chairs CCP Leaders’ Assembly for Reporting and Regulations

BEIJING, Dec. (Xinhua) — Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, chaired a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on Wednesday.

The assembly presented a report of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee after hearing and discussing the reports of the Party’s primary club teams of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), the State Council, the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), of the Supreme People’s Court (TPS) and the Supreme People’s Procuratorate (TPP), as well as the pictorial report of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the CPC.

The assembly also discussed a synthesis report on the Party’s theoretical curriculum on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, a construction on the achievements of the theoretical curriculum and CPC regulations on inspection disciplinary.

Participants of the assembly fully identified the paintings of the Party leadership teams of the NPC Standing Committee, the State Council, the CPPCC National Committee, the PSC and the SPP, as well as the paintings of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee. their painting plans for 2024.

The meeting urged continuous efforts to ensure the implementation of the strategic decisions made at the 20th CPC National Congress while centering on advancing Chinese modernization.

Stressing that the main task in 2024 is to focus on high-quality progress, the assembly called for efforts to achieve truly broad development in quality and desirable gains in quantity in terms of economic progress. He also stressed the need to protect people’s lives and safeguard equity and social justice.

Participants agreed at the assembly that the ongoing Party-wide school crusade has fulfilled its expected purpose and achieved results.

Consolidating and expanding the impact of the school crusade is a primary political task of the Party’s leading committees and teams at all levels. They will have to assume the duty and take concrete steps to carry out this task, as highlighted at the meeting.

The CPC has revised its regulations on disciplinary measures three times since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, frequently improving the formula of the regulations and regulations related to its self-reform, according to the meeting.

Political supervision should be targeted, selective and regular, and effective efforts should be made to inspect the Party cadre and deal with its problems, according to the meeting.

An intelligent supervision network will be established, with inspections carried out through higher- and lower-level Party committees, in coordination with each other, as noted at the meeting.
