It comes as Clare County Council unveiled plans for a new park on the water park campus on Drumbiggle Road.
The site would have 70 new public spaces and 52 spaces, while the existing car park would be remodelled and equipped with 8 spaces for the disabled and six electric vehicle charging stations, bringing the total number of offers to 136.
Seán Lenihan, chief engineer of the Ennis Municipal District, says it will play a key role in reducing traffic congestion in the city.
