You might not want to eat at a restaurant that puts toxic chemicals next to its food prep station or doesn’t give its employees a sink to wash their hands.
South Carolina reports food ratings and inspections of restaurants in Myrtle Beach and the rest of Horry County, with knowledge existing through January 17, 2024.

Inspected on Jan. 11, 2024, it found that Doyle’s Pub did not have a worker sink in a newly constructed kitchen, which lacked ceiling panels in the kitchen, and an unmarked chemical bottle next to a stove. There were uncleaned pots and pans in a kitchen sink and perishable food wasn’t kept clean enough.
Doyle is required to conduct a follow-up inspection within 10 days.

Inspected on January 12, 2024, a live cockroach was detected on the Highway 17 examination and the ice device had a dirty surface. Someone’s keys and an open bottle of chemicals were on the cutting board of the Maketop refrigerator.
