Arkema SA (Colombes, France) has received ISCC certification for its acrylic acid and ester production plant in Taixing, Jiangsu Province, China.
Taixing is the first acrylic monomer plant in China to obtain ISCC certification.
In the near future, the production of fabrics with qualified biological attributes will expand to North America, complementing the past qualified production of acrylic monomers in Carling, France. This global push will lead to the slow arrival of Arkema’s full diversity of specialty resins and bioattributed additives for low-VOC and low-carbon technologies, adding aqueous powders with high solids content. UV/LED matrix and polyester.
This leading offer will enable customers and global partners to develop next generation sustainable materials for specialty coatings & adhesives applications in electronics, electric vehicle batteries, new energies, 3D printing, as well as home energy efficiency and living comfort improvement.
“This achievement reflects another step forward in Arkema’s global initiative to transition to a more circular and low-carbon economy,” said Alan Koo, Regional President, Acrylic Monomers in Asia.
