The last 3 episodes review the Shang dynasties (c. 16th-11th centuries BC). Zhou (c. 11th-256th century BC), its rise and fall, the culture of the Bronze Age (that of the archaeological site of Sanxingdui in Sichuan province, in particular). – political, ethical and ritual systems, and their participation in the process of unification of the country.

To make this story of China’s early civilization work, the production team has filmed some 230 archaeological sites and museums over the past three years, and those video clips will also be screened in 18 corresponding museums.

Shanghai Media Group, which produced the series, will work with Warner Bros. Discovery in the production and promotion of its foreign versions, and the two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation on December 9.
