FORT LAUDERDALE — Three more people were injured after falling 15 feet to the ground when the scaffolding they were on collapsed Thursday morning on a structure in Fort Lauderdale, the government said.
Two of those affected were rushed to Broward Health, where they were in serious condition, police said. A third victim was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to investigators. The identities of those affected were pending.
First responders were called to 475 SW 27th Ave. to report an accident at the structure site. When they arrived, they found the sick people on the ground.
Fort Lauderdale officials said workers from the Occupational Safety Health Administration were called in to investigate the incident.
