Once again the possibility of a new place to eat and two hot takeaway meals is announced in Inverness.
A sign has been erected by local estate agents Grant Stewart advertising that the two vacant units and restaurant site are available for rent or purchase on Millburn Road to the east of the KwikFit workshop and just off the Raigmore Interchange.
Details can also be obtained online.
If all progress continues, this stretch of Millburn Road would become an ideal place to enjoy tasty meals, with Kentucky Fried Chicken, Millburn French fries and Regent Palace Chinese takeaway all just a stone’s throw away.
In 2016, Highland Council planners granted permission to William MacMillan of Inchmore, Inverness, to replace the use of the two single-storey, flat-roofed sets of a showroom and shop with two takeaway restaurants.
At the same time the council planners gave the go-ahead to Mr MacMillan for a two-storey glass fronted restaurant to be built on vacant land adjacent to the two units.
It is understood that those approvals have never been implemented and, as they were granted more than 3 years ago, will have expired, the new plan-making programs will most likely be favorably won through the board.
The rental price for the sets (one 140 m² and the other 64 m²) is £20,000 per annum, and the value of these or the restaurant site will be available upon request.
Real estate agents note that the site benefits from smart road connections to the A9 and A96 and the Raigmore junction, as well as traffic to and from the city centre.
