Foodservice provider IBC Simply turned to March Foods to bolster its food and beverage co-production and packaging capabilities.
The deal – for an undisclosed amount – will result in the merger of the two corporations to form a new parent group: Delightful Food Group.
Delightful Food is led by Ricky Flax, co-owner of IBC Simply, who will continue to lead the business and drive the expansion of the new parent group.
March Foods’ operations will remain unchanged and the entire team will continue to be led by current CEO Stephen Dor.
Founded in 1992 and a family-owned foodservice operator based in Hertfordshire, IBC offers a variety of products, including flavoured syrups for hot drinks, the Simply logo and smoothie mixes with the DinoShakes logo.
Flax said the acquisition would bring “huge benefits” to them and their clients.
“We plan to invest in new technologies, our product production functions and open up more opportunities for customers, providing a completely complete solution,” he added.
“We have been working effectively with March Foods for many years, and the synergy between product and production was the best combination to take both corporations to the next level. The two brands complement each other and consumers can now take advantage of the group advantages. teams, especially those with exclusive offerings or who need NPD, employing our combined wisdom and enjoying innovation.
The newly merged organization employs approximately 250 other people and operates out of a 120,000-square-foot production and packaging facility near Peterborough.
