California Activist Advocates For Removal Of Trump’s Star From The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Not content with undeniable vandalism, left-wing activists in the mecca of diversity and tolerance need former President Donald Trump’s star removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

According to a Los Angeles Times article, Hollywood Hills resident Andrew Rudick is leading efforts to remove star Trump.

If successful, it would be the first time that a star has been removed from the tourist site.

“The message conveyed to the millions of people who have marched in front of this plaque since 2021 is that of the city for a guy who attempted a coup d’état opposed to America,” Rudick told the Los Angeles City Council at a rally last month. .

Trump’s star has been a component of the March since 2007, when he was noted for his paintings in “The Apprentice. “The Times noted that Trump’s camp declined to comment on Rudick’s campaign.

But a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Republican Party told the newspaper, “L. A. government is failing at each and every level. They focus on their job: making all of our sidewalks empty and safe.

The impediment to putting the finishing touch to Rudick’s crusade is the confusion over who has authority over the more than 2,700 stars portrayed on the sidewalks of Hollywood.

The Times states that City Hall, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Hollywood Historic Trust share, in some respects, custody of the Walk of Fame.

As the Times added, “The removal of a star is unprecedented, and a process for doing so has never been established. Rudick’s activism, however, is forcing city officials to confront the unknown.”

As Rudick told the far-left Guardian in a separate interview, “It cannot be this hard. This man attempted a coup against the United States and yet we continue to honor him … How are we the voters supposed to have faith in the city council to deal with any real level of challenge if they can’t get this done?”

While the “coup” argument is a figment of the liberal imagination, given that Trump has never been accused, let alone convicted, of attempting such a thing, Rudick doesn’t seem to care that the stars belong to notorious figures.

This would include:

The Times reported that the star had been there several times since Trump’s first election in 2016, costing the Chamber of Commerce about $20,000 in repairs.

Axios reported that a petition to yank Trump’s marker has garnered more than 3,800 signatures. And at least two members of the City Council have openly called for Trump’s star to go.
