ROCHESTER — Olmsted County has launched a new digital health and wellbeing platform in partnership with CredibleMind.
“With this incredible tool, we are empowering citizens to prioritize their fitness and well-being,” said Olmsted County Deputy Administrator Travis Gransee in delivering the launch. “This virtual platform puts wellness teams directly into the hands of our network members. “

Olmsted County Board of County Commissioners Chairman Gregg Wright said the addition of CredibleMind is aimed at helping others build resilience.
“The implementation of this tool is part of Olmsted County’s commitment to the fitness and well-being of citizens and is a vital step toward creating a healthier community,” he said.
On Tuesday, county commissioners on the council’s Health, Housing and Human Services Committee also approved the concept of moving forward by requesting an additional $45,000 from the opioid settlement budget to create a local crusade to raise awareness about opioid issues in the community.
“The giant network doesn’t know what an opioid is, which is surprising,” she said of other people who don’t know their prescription drugs are classified as opioids.
He said initial plans included hiring a representative to review local knowledge and expanding a data crusade with specific messaging to address the most fearful spaces at the local level.
“They’re comparing the messages to the population data,” he told commissioners.
Gransee said efforts could be stepped up if they succeed in raising awareness, or the county could simply take other approaches, otherwise. He said the purpose was to find the most productive way to address opioid concerns as more budget becomes available for the deal.
The entire county council is expected to get an investment request for the proposed crusade at a town hall meeting in early 2024.
