MPs: Dryden arrested by CFA after hit-and-run car crash

A two-vehicle collision in Tompkins County turned into a vehicle search on Dec. 22, resulting in the arrest of a Dryden for driving under the influence and leaving the scene.

At approximately 5:30 p. m. Tompkins County Sheriff’s deputies responded to East Shore Drive and Autumn Ridge in the city of Lansing following reports of a hit and run.

Initial investigations indicate that one of the affected vehicles had fled the scene of the accident.

Holly G. Conklin, 58, of Dryden, was later taken into custody by police while driving the fleeing vehicle.

Subsequent inquiries led to the discovery of Conklin’s intoxication at the time of the incident. She faces charges of DWI, leaving the scene of an accident, and failing to yield the right of way.

Conklin was released on court fines and is scheduled to appear in court in Lansing City on Jan. 18.
