Bausch Health’s Salix Launches First Opioid-Induced Constipation Awareness Day

Salix Pharmaceuticals is partnering with two advocacy teams to identify the first-ever Opioid-Induced Constipation (OCI) Awareness Day to dispel the stigma and silence around this disease.

Today, December 5, officially identified as ICO Awareness Day in the National Day Archive, thanks to Salix, the American Pain Foundation, and the International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders. In addition to a recently introduced online page for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, Salix is running with TikTok social media influencers who will advocate on their channels for fair and open conversations around the OIC and drive traffic to the crusade’s online page with a hashtag “OIC Voice,” #vOICesOfOIC.

You will have access to individual articles from both one month and both months, and you will be able to customize the newsletters sent to your inbox for both a week, adding the most recent news.
