COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)
The three most level-headed executives at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City will lose their jobs as the company integrates with MU Health Care.
President Gaspare Calvaruso, Vice President of Finance Tom Luebbering and Vice President of Patient Care Services Janet Pestle will leave the Capital Region effective Jan. 1, MU Health Care announced Friday in a press release. The Capital Region and MU Health Care have been affiliated for more than 25 years.
MU Health Care executives say the merger will expand to quality physical care in Mid-Missouri.
Calvaruso oversaw the expansion of the Capital Region’s Eldon Clinic, the opening of a medical building and the Goldschmidt Surgical Center, according to the release.
Denny Hamilton will serve as Chief Operating Officer for the Capital Region effective Jan. 1. He served as the Medical Center’s Director of Ancillary Services. He is a pharmacist and has worked for the Capital Region since 1994, he said.
Debra Deeken will serve as interim director of nursing and Mike Rundle will serve as interim chief financial officer.
“We have full confidence in this team as they lead the Capital Region in the next steps of our integration into those roles,” Ric Ransom, lead CEO of MU Health Care, said in the statement. “We thank those leaders for their involvement in leading the organization through this important milestone. “
