Award-winning used car dealership Emerald House of Cars has begun the liquidation process.
The business, run by Peter ‘PJ’ Quinn, has appointed Conrad Beighton and David Griffiths of Leonard Curtis Recovery Ltd as joint liquidators.
Letters sent this week to all creditors informing them of the company’s liquidation resolution.
Emerald Vehicle Sales Ltd was based on Heath Road, Wednesbury, in the West Midlands and was previously a serial winner at the Car Dealer Used Car Awards.
The liquidators said: “The trustees consider that the consent procedure considered would be appropriate, and it is proposed that the creditors’ resolution date in this regard be 6 December.
Quinn has been contacted by Car Dealer for comment.
The car dealership reported that stock had been removed from the site and that the company was no longer responding to phone calls.
The company’s popular YouTube channel also shut down.
Emerald House of Cars’ online page is no longer active, however on its Google listing the dealership said it is “probably the most productive car dealership in the UK”.
Previously, the company won the Best Newcomer award at the 2018 used car awards. He was also highly praised in the Used Car Dealer of the Year (51-100 cars) category in 2020 and won the Social Media User of the Year award in 2021. (pictured).

The company has garnered more than six hundred reviews on Google with an average score of 4. 6 stars.
