Where’s Marty? At the Maryland Food Bank’s Annual Holiday Meal Packing Event

Hello world!

I posted a post on Facebook about Marty Bass WJZ with the following symbol and words.

“This photo of the ‘Christmas Meal’ boxes at the Maryland Food Bank’s Thanksgiving launch occasion at the Convention Center disturbs and warms your heart. How is that possible? Let’s take a look at more empty boxes that will occasionally include enough classic Thanksgiving boxes. Dine on dishes for thousands of people and I’ll explain.

You’ll be worried because the lack of trust in food IS REAL. The need for those boxes is hunger. Look at this famine map posted on the food banks’ website, it’s shocking. And across the state.

Over time, through donations of parts or money, 25,000 of those boxes will be cared for and accompanied by a turkey so that other people can enjoy the Christmas meal. And that deserves to warm your heart. There’s a line from the 1984 movie, “Starman,” that stuck with me. The alien Jeff Bridges looks at his human friends and says that there are some truly horrible civilizations in the universe. But that humans have the glorious peculiarity of being in the darkest of the worst. This was demonstrated today in Halls A and B of the original conference center. Look at how much food has been collected in the call of kindness.

More than three hundred volunteers arrived to fill the boxes and help meet a very genuine need this holiday season. Something lovely. Unfortunately, this need is felt every day of the year. But today, it’s kindness that’s the driving force. And it’s our excitement that K2 and I will provide the story to our WJZ in nine hearings. Try to see if you can help, use the link and move on to the website.

TGIF for everyone! Enjoy the weekend. Be safe and laugh!See you on Monday. We’ve got a smart one for you! We’ll show you everything you’ll never need to see!:-) It will be fun and informative, I promise.

Marty B!
