Trump, mired in trouble, asks the Justice Department to investigate Biden

Former President Donald Trump has called for a new Justice Department investigation into President Joe Biden, even as he himself analyzes several federal investigations to kick off the new year.

Trump cited a lawsuit filed through Colorado attorney Kevin Evans, who opposed the DOJ in March. Evans told Fox Business that he originally filed a FOIA request “relating to any relationship, communication, gift(s) and/or refund in any form” related to the business relationships of Biden’s brother and son, James and Hunter Biden.

Evans said the DOJ admitted to the court that it had 400 “potentially reactive” documents similar to its application, and now refuses to submit the documents.

“These recordings take Joe Biden and implicate them, and the several million dollars that have been stolen over the years. Why don’t the radical left DOJ and the corrupt, election-changing DBI become ‘CLEANERS’? Trump posted on his social media site, Truth Social, Tuesday morning. “After 7 years of investigating me, and even spying on my campaign, they discovered NOTHING!How about putting time and effort into Joe?”

Trump potentially faces thieving charges similar to two separate Justice Department investigations: one related to his movements around the Capitol on Jan. 6 and a moment related to his handling of classified documents after leaving office.

He also faces a new adult survivor lawsuit from E. Jean Carroll and a nearly $300 million civil lawsuit filed through New York Attorney General Letitia James over his own business dealings in the state.
