Miskokomon and Wesley Join Chatham Kent Health Alliance Board of Directors

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has added two names to its Board of Directors.

Walpole Island Chief Dan Miskokomon and Jeff Wesley, a former Chatham-Kent councillor and Wallaceburg mayor, participated in the Jan. 26 board meeting. Both served on the board of directors in the past.

Miskokomon has served as Chief of the First Nation intermittently for 12 years since 1988. He has held previous positions as First Nation Manager for Walpole Island and Moravian of the Thames, Co-Manager of Munsee-Delaware Nation and Economic Development. Program Planner of Walpole Island.

The former owner of DRSKOKE: Technical, Financial and Management Advisory Services has professional experience in engineering, drafting services, construction, construction inspections, assignment control and environmental audits. Miskokomon also served on the Health Alliance board of directors from 2018 to 2021.

With his executive and operational experience, he brings with him a wide diversity in management, finance, management and strategic planning,” said Alan. Wesley has served as a volunteer on healthcare and hospital committees for over 3 decades. He has served as director and chairman of the board of directors of the former Sydenham District Hospital, director of the board of directors of Health Alliance, director of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation and Chairman of the Save Our Sydenham Committee.

For 34 years, he was Director of Municipal Relations (Major Projects Group) at Union Gas and has practiced law at Anderson Law Group since 2018. Wesley has also been Ontario’s Director of Infrastructure since 2019.

“In addition to recently joining our Construction Community Advisory Committee to discuss the next phase of planning and design for the Wallaceburg site, we are pleased to welcome Mr. Wesley to our board,” said Wildeman.

“Mr. Wesley has a long history of serving the Wallaceburg domain and working with stakeholders and networking groups. His skills and wisdom will be a wonderful addition to our Board of Directors and he will advise CKHA in providing safe, high-quality care.
