The UK has stopped publishing some covid-19 model data, as authorities say it is not mandatory because the country “lives with the disease”.
The country’s physical security firm announced this week that it would no longer report on the spread and reproduction rates of infections as part of its release schedule.
The expansion rate and the “R” rate give a concept of the rate of expansion or reduction of infection rates in the country. In recent months, the U. S. K. H. S. A. He shared this data every two weeks. But according to the agency’s website, the most recent update, published on Dec. 23, will be the last.
In addition, as of January 6, medium-term projections, which modeled hospitalizations and possible deaths biweekly, will no longer be published.
Friday’s R-rate update gave England a result between 1 and 1. 2. This means that each and every one of the ten inflamed people is likely to transmit the virus to between ten and 12 more people.
England’s overall expansion rate between 0-4%, with covid infections expanding to the maximum in the east and southwest of the country.
At the height of the pandemic, those numbers were much higher because the virus was spreading faster among the population.
But the conversion nature of verification effects and reporting also makes it difficult to compare the effects of other time periods.
The agencies, in addition to the Office of National Statistics, will continue to monitor the disease by other means, officials said.
UKHSA deputy director Dr Nick Watkins said inventions such as vaccines and medicines for covid-19 have reduced the need for officials to publish information about the disease.
He said: “Vaccines and therapy have allowed us to move into a phase where we are with Covid-19.
“We continue to monitor Covid-19 activity in the same way we monitor a number of other non-unusual diseases and conditions. “
He added that officials would return such reports if necessary, saying: “All knowledge publications are reviewed and this modelling knowledge can be temporarily reintroduced if necessary, for example if a new variant of fear is identified. “
Over the past week, nearly 37,000 more people tested positive for covid-19 in England – an increase of around 8,300 last week, or 29%.
More than 8,600 patients in hospitals and other fitness centers have been tested for the disease, with 174 on ventilators added.
Last year, the country experienced an immediate expansion of infections when the Omison wave began. Across the UK, nearly 100,000 other people tested positive on 26 December. By the next day, that number had risen to nearly 156,000.
The tests were available for free at the time, which could have had an impact on how many other people decided to take them. Today, immediate home testing is available at pharmacies and other retail stores. points of sale for the equivalent of a few dollars.
