Moberly Motorsports Park (formerly Randolph County Raceway) will host a two-day Lucas Oil American Sprint car series on Friday and Saturday, May 12 and 13, 2023.
“The track has a set of bleachers,” said Reid Millard, general manager of Moberly Motorsports Park and the American Motor Sports Association. “It’s more of a football atmosphere. Fans can see the track without problems and it has a lot of character. “
The high-incline half-mile oval lends itself to fast running, especially at turns 2 and 4.
Millard said he expects wide two- and three-lane races, which put enthusiasts on the edge of their seats.
According to an ASCS press release, there will be an increase in the number of cars for the 2023 series. It’s on well-paid dates and weekend events.
This will mark the year of the series, with races presented through the MAVTV Motorsports Network.
For the series audience, visit the online page www. floracing. com and purchase an annual subscription for $150.
ASCS kicks off March 17 with two dates at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.

Many notable regional race amenities will be part of the series: Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas (May 26), Dodge City Raceway Park (July 7 and 8), Knoxville Raceway in Iowa (Aug. 3-5) and Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland (Sept. 14-16). Dodge City, Kansas, returns to the circuit for the first time since 2012.
There are new circuits, with Rocket Raceway in Texas, Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa and Rush County Bullring in LaCrosse, Kan.
Series owner Terry Mattox said in a ready press release that the season final-season payout would be $50,000 for the champion. Overnight bill money will range from $5,000 to $15,000.
