HILLSBOROUGH, NJ – Three Hillsborough area citizens attended the Hillsborough Township Committee at the governance framework assembly earlier this month for their decades of health-related service to the community.
On December 13, Mayor Shawn Lipani 3 members of the Hillsborough Board of Health with proclamations honoring 102 years of combined service to the township.
Recipients included former Hillsborough Veterinary Hospital owner and current owner of Sourland Pet Health, Dr. Charles Schwirck, chiropractor Dr. Robert Matros and Dr. Willard Potter, a 44-year Hillsborough resident.
“Thank you for your many years of service to our community,” the municipality wrote in a statement.
Schwrick has run Hillsborough’s rabies vaccination clinics for nearly 40 years; Matros also served as commission chairman for 18 years, a member of the Hillsborough Board of Health for more than 30 years, a member of the Hillsborough Youth Services Commission and co-chair of the project’s first graduation, the city said in separate proclamations. .
Potter also helped the local fitness branch review plans to clean up and expand GSA’s former warehouse and vaccination clinics over the years, the proclamation reads.
