It’s this first clue, “Your Kingdom Is Coming,” that is arguably a vital clue as to who Boy Thunder is, possibly referencing the 1996 story Kingdom Come (which we’ve called the most productive DC story of all time), also written through Mark Waid.
Kingdom Come represents a not-too-distant race in the DC Universe where the old guard of Justice League heroes like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are at odds with a new generation of heroes whose strategies and ideologies are far darker and more brutal than those of ancient heroes.
The Kingdom Come now inhabits an Earth (designated Earth-22) in the DC multiverse.
So who from Kingdom Come can simply be Boy Thunder?We made our assumptions about the character’s secret identity, but didn’t heed Kingdom Come’s suggestions.

With only clues to Batman/Superman: World’s Finest issues already released, there’s a chance that heroes coming from the world of Kingdom Come could be Boy Thunder’s secret identity.
On the one hand, there is the character Thunder, a boy who controls Johnny Thunder’s mythical Thunderbolt. Thunder gave the impression on the Kingdom derivative title, so we know that Waid has been keeping an eye on the character for some time. of course, there is the “Thunder” connection in their names, although Boy Thunder’s powers are inherent, not provided through Thunderbolt.
Then there’s another big potential clue about an imaginary Kingdom Come character that may just be Boy Thunder’s secret identity, though the connection is more tenuous. ).
In Kingdom Come, the story is largely presented when a young hero named Magog kills the Joker while the Clown Prince of Crime is in custody for the murder of Lois Lane, creating a confusing relationship between Superman, Magog, and the now-dead Joker. .
