NC State football will open the 2024 football season against Tennessee at Bank Of America Stadium in Charlotte if negotiations continue as planned, a Wolfpack program member told USA TODAY Network on Monday.
Already scheduled for 2024, a house assembly against West Carolina on August 31 and games against Louisiana Tech and South Florida. BYU’s arrival in the Big 12 next fall.
“When we have a signed contract, we will,” an NC State spokesperson wrote in a text message to USA TODAY.

BYU wasn’t the first Big 12 show to pull out of a home-and-away series with Wolfpack. Cincinnati was scheduled to host NC State in 2023 and play in Raleigh in 2029. NC State replaced that with a home game opposite Marshall the next year.
The game against Tennessee would be Wolfpack’s first opener at a standalone venue since the 2017 loss to South Carolina in Charlotte. AP Top 25, while Wolfpack (6-2) ranks 20th and 21st, respectively.
