General Motors Co. said Wednesday that, based on existing projections, it will force all of its U. S. sites to be required to take action. The U. S. government is renewing its strength through 2025, five years ahead of its previous target of 2030.
The automaker announced last September that it would push renewable energy for U. S. sites. It would be in the U. S. until 2025 after announcing it would do so until 2030 in January 2021.
GM has agreements with 16 renewable power plants in 10 states, the automaker said.
GM has a list of other climate commitments, adding carbon-neutral emissions through 2040 with its products and operations and all-electric with its cars through 2035.
