The FDA has reported a new outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections, bringing the number of open agency investigations to 10.
The Food and Drug Administration reports that it has begun an on-site inspection and pattern test, but has discovered an express source of Listeria. You have initiated any tracking efforts. The firm reports that there are six patients shown in the outbreak, but has revealed their ages or the states where they live.
In other news about the outbreak, the number of patients in an outbreak caused by Salmonella Mississippi has risen to 102 from the one hundred patients reported a week ago. The firm has not made public the position or age of the patients. The FDA has not known a source of the pathogen but has initiated tracing efforts. The company did not say which foods or foods are tracked.
